Research by Statistics South Africa shows that young people between the ages of 15 and 24, are the most vulnerable in the South African labour market. Unemployment in that age bracket sat at over 50 percent in the 1st quarter of 2019. The joblessness rate among graduates in that age group is 31%. While South Africa’s unemployment picture looks gloomy, recruiters say there are still industries looking to employ. Business reporter, Wandiswa Ntengento has more.
